Great for extended backpacking What sets this pot apart from the rest is the “HE” designator which stands for Heat Exchanger. Let me tell you that this thing is a money saver and will make you carry less fuel then you would have to otherwise. I tested it with the following stoves – Optimus Crux, Primus Express and Snow Peak Litemax and was consistently was able to boil 2 cups of tap water in 1 minute and 45 seconds. All the while burning 6-8 gramms of fuel depending on the stove( not surpisingly, Optimus Crux works the best…

Bang for your buck this mess kit is really without peer. This cookset weighs in at just under 10 oz as advertised. The frying pan lid snugs up nicely in the pot. Pot holds just under a liter and has very legible markings to measure how much water you want to heat. More than enough volume to heat up a freeze dry meal and some water for coffee or tea.

Backpacking Tips for This Stove First the facts. This 2 pot set includes a larger pot with a heat exchanger and a smaller pot best thought of as a cup. The larger unit has accurate markings on the side that are in ounces and ml and top out at 800 ml one inch from the top of the pot.
