Great lightweight tent but I’d like to see some minor improvements This is my first tent that I own that costs more than $50. I went for this tent for several reasons, it is a lightweight tent, it has more head room than most other tents in its size, it has a porch on both entrances and it should be 100% waterproof. I haven’t used it in the rain yet but the way it is setup I think it is an excellent tent for rainy days. The rainfly covers the entire tent. Durable, light, easy to set up My wife and I purchased this tent as a lightweight but durable piece of gear for occasional flying/camping trips. On our first trip, the tent was subjected to a 60+mph gale, and survived with only minor bending of the poles. Tents all around were shredded and soaked. Ours was dry and in one piece. Also, the tent is easy to set up and well-designed. I highly recommend the matching footprint, as it easily fits in the stuff sack with the rest of the tent, and does its job perfectly.

I wanted high quality, well designed and engineered and extremely durable, also weight was an important consideration as I am in my 60’s in good shape but not willing to tote unessential weight. The Kelty arrived 2 days before a February Hunting trip. Opened it…
