Treehouse Wanderlust (Win a $150 Gift Certificate to Glamping Hub)

November 25, 2015 - Comment

Enchanting Tree House Up Tri-Centennial Oak Tree, France (4)

I was five years old when my parents took me to Disney World. It was my first time on an airplane (it made an emergency landing) and my first time in Florida (I’d rarely been south of the Mason-Dixon line). I’m sure it was a lovely trip, but I remember essentially nothing of it. Except for this one thing. Drilled into the fleshy mass between my ears, in the fiery glow of my hippocampus, I remember the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse.

Something about that treehouse set the neurons in my little brain firing. The treehouse stood for adventure, for nature, for simplicity. The treehouse was rustic and whimsical. I mean, it was a house in the trees. I was enthralled. 30 years later I’m still enthralled. It’s not every day that you meet a lifelong love.

So when Glamping Hub reached out to let me know that they’d added Treehouse Getaways to their collection of tent, yurt, teepee and campervan rentals and told me that I could give one of you a $150 gift certificate if I’d just let you guys know about it, I said YES PLEASE.

Glamping Hub offers treehouse rentals from coast to coast in the United States as well as rentals in Europe, Southeast Asia and South America. And all you have to do to win a $150 gift certificate is leave a comment below (make sure the email address you use is accurate so I can contact you should you be the lucky winner).
